January 2019 Newsletter
A Letter from Mr. Hershey
Dear Parent or Guardian,
Welcome back to school! I hope you enjoyed the two week winter vacation and were able to get some quality family time with your children. I can't believe that we are in the year 2019...the years move by so incredibly fast!
With the new year just passing by, most of us have set New Years Resolutions for ourselves to become better versions of ourselves. Although most of us don't see our New Years Resolution through the end of the year, it is important that we continue to improve each day. At Shiloh Point, we want to continue to support our students with a growth mindset and to see that struggle is a valuable part of learning. The goal is never to be perfect, but to continue to improve each day. To learn a little more on the growth mindset, watch this short video. This month, we will focus on the mindset "Everything is Possible."
Thank you for all that you do to support the staff as we do our best to make this the best learning environment for your children. We look forward to partnering with you this year to support our students' growth.
Wishing your family a great 2019!
Sincerely,
Derrick Hershey
Principal

The 7 Mindsets - Everything is Possible
The Everything is Possible mindset teaches that we are all capable of living extraordinary lives. Students learn that everything which exists today was once just an idea until someone believed it was possible and took the actions to make it into reality. This is true with our lives as well-they become, in many ways, whatever we expect them to be.
Make sure to ask your student about what "Everything is Possible" means. For more information, please click here. You will find great resources on this link that will support you as a parent.
