TVUSD's COVID-19 Safety Plan is Approved
Dear TVUSD Families,
We are excited to share that our required COVID-19 Safety Plan has been approved by the Riverside County Department of Public Health and the California Department of Public Health. The required plan is available on our website HERE.
This means we are on track to transition to our elementary cohort schedule on March 15, one week from today. As a reminder, Mondays are asynchronous days for all PreK-12 grade students. We cannot wait to see our PreK-5 grade students in-person on Tuesday, March 16!
Whether you choose to transition to the on-campus model or remain in the online model, all PreK-5 grade students will transition to the cohort learning model beginning Monday, March 15, 2021. The schedules are available HERE.
We continue to see case rates trending positively in Riverside County, which means we believe we will meet our goal of transitioning our students in grades 6-12 to the on-campus cohort schedule beginning Monday, April 5, 2021. Again, for your planning, Mondays are asynchronous, so the first planned day on-campus for middle and high school students is Tuesday, April 6, 2021. We will continue to keep you updated regarding the current case rates. Last Tuesday, our County's adjusted case rate was 11.3 per 100,000. We need to reach 7 per 100,000 to transition our 6-12 grade students to the on-campus cohort model.
I know that for elementary families especially, you will undoubtedly be receiving a tremendous amount of information and contact from your child's school site during the next few weeks. Please know it is our goal to assist families with ensuring you have all of the details you will need to transition to the cohort schedule. Each elementary school has created a one-stop informational newsletter with all of the details you need to assist with the transition. These have been emailed out and are also available on each site's website. Just click on the pop-up alert box that appears on your school's website.
Should you have any questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us. Your child's school site office is also happy to assist you.
Warmly,
Jodi McClay, Ed.D.
