HSD Parents: Please attend an LRFP Visioning Session
As announced at Board meetings in both February and March, the Board of Education and representatives of LAN Associates (the district’s Architect of Record) are holding "visioning sessions" with people from all facets of the school district community to express their opinions about the Long-Range Facilities Plan (LRFP).
In March and April we completed sessions for students and staff in all five buildings.
In mid-April, we invited district parents and all Haddonfield tax payers to attend a visioning session to add their voices to the development of an LRFP.
Please share YOUR vision of the future of our schools at one of the remaining four sessions here. (One session has already taken place on Monday, April 25th.). Your RSVP is crucial as it allows us to determine if we need to add additional meetings.
You may access the LRFP webpage to learn more.
Art Expo Night: May 12 6PM-7PM
Art Expo will be held on Thursday, May 12, 6PM-7PM, and will focus on celebrating the work students have been doing in their art classes with Mrs. Kimmell. Art will be displayed in the Art Room and in the hallways around the school. We are excited to display 2D and 3D works of art for each student at EH! Classrooms will be closed, but some teachers will be walking around celebrating the work of our students as well. We are so proud of our students! We are so appreciative of the efforts of our teachers and your support of the arts at Haddon.
EH 5th Grade Talent Show: May 13th 7PM, EH APR
Save the date to see our 5th graders showcase a variety of talents! All 5th graders who are in the show can invite all household members to attend in-person. Cell Phone and Smart Watch Use During School
We have noticed a trend that is causing some disruptions in the classroom. Students are using their smart watches to text or call home without teacher knowledge or permission. As our handbook and the student Acceptable Use Policy states, cell phones and other electronic devices should be shut off and in backpacks. While students can continue wearing smart watches they should be in airplane mode. If students need to communicate with you they should call from the classroom or main office. If a child is using a device without teacher permission it will be confiscated until the end of the day. Frequent occurrences of unauthorized use could result in no longer being allowed to bring these devices to school. Thank you for your assistance with this.
