Dear Lockport City School District Learning Community,

I am writing to share that earlier this week the district received notice that one of our 2023 graduates, Ainsley Claire Gorman, had suddenly passed away. Ainsley was well known throughout the district and was in contact with many of our students, staff and community members. After graduating from the district she went on to attend Niagara University where she was pursuing a degree in Psychology. She will be missed by our entire learning community.

Please know, the district has been notified that relatives and friends may attend calling hours on Wednesday February, 21, 2024, from 4 - 7 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY 14094. Private services will be held at a later date. Additional updates and information about funeral arrangements can be found at pruddenandkandt.com.

All parents and legal guardians should also be aware that the district will have our crisis team available to support all students and staff members for as long as needed when students and staff return to school next Monday, February 26, 2024.
