Thespian Festival Success
This past weekend, we hosted 700 performers from public and private schools around Palm Beach County for the Florida Thespian District 10 Festival. In addition, we brought 87 kids to compete in 80 performances.
Each performance is critiqued and scored. In total we took home 59 Superiors and 24 Excellents. In addition, we took home 16 Critic Choice Awards, the best of the best in each category out of all the schools. More than any other school.
Finally at the end of the night, all the critic choices performed and we were selected as the best of the festival for our performance of Sweeney Todd and will perform in opening ceremonies for over 10,000 students in Tampa.
If you see any theater students, please congratulate them. This was a fantastic showing, and they represented West Boca as the Best.
Thank you for continued support of the Arts here at West Boca!

Vocal Department - FLACDA
It's a little late, but we've just uploaded Calliope's performance from the FLACDA Convention in Orlando, Florida, on YouTube.
We teamed up with a string quartet from the Orlando Philharmonic for these two works: Adam Schoenberg's Never Shall I Forget (inspired by Elie Wiesel's Night) and Srul Irving Glick's Psalm 23.
Please congratulate these students when you see them, they had a remarkable performance.
Homecoming or Prom Donations
We are currently accepting lightly worn party dresses and suits for prom to be donated for students that may have a need for homecoming this year. Please clean out your closets so that students that may not be able to purchase a suit or dress will be able to feel their best at homecoming this year. Students can contact me anonymously and set an appointment time to go shopping in the closet. All we will ask is that they clean the garment and return it after homecoming for someone else to borrow.
Donations can be brought to the front office, room 12, 107, or let me know and I can have students pick them up from a class room.
Thank you so much !
