The Patrick Henry Post
October 30th, 2020
Welcome back, 3rd-5th Grade!
On October 26th, we welcomed back our in-person learners to Patrick Henry in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. We were excited to see our oldest students back in the building reconnecting with one another in a socially-distanced, safe way. We were also excited to see them reconnect with the staff and for some of them, meet their new teacher! It was awesome to see our students back in person and to put our safety measures into practice! Take a look below for highlights from Ms. Von Behren's fifth graders, Ms. Hammock's fourth graders, and Ms. Jackson's third graders.
Perfect Attendance!
Congrats, Kindergarten!
Ms. Willard's class must be celebrated this week after three days in a row of perfect attendance! We are so proud of all of our students for being here every day on time ready to learn, including our virtual students! Awesome job, and keep it up!! Which class will be rewarded next??
Shoutouts!
PreK Leaders
I loved seeing our youngest students show us exactly how to socially distance, even while transitioning throughout the building. Great job, preschool!
Reading Specialist
Shoutout to Kymani for his resilience in pursuing reading growth. Shoutout to Ms. Evans and her ability to reach every one of our readers where they're at, challenging them to grow.
Safety Protocols
Thank you to all of our incredible students for adhering to our social distance and safety protocols. We are so proud of you for adjusting to this "new normal" and making school possible!
Happy Halloween!
Patrick Henry Halloween Walk
This Friday, our staff put on a SHOW for our students as they got to move from station to station to trick-or-treat and experience fun and games. Students received candy, books, coloring sheets, and even a mini lesson as they moved through the outdoor event. Thank you to all of our staff who planned and prepared the event, and for all of our donors who supplied the goodies to take home! We wish everyone a safe, fun, and ghoulish Halloween weekend!
