Take a second to take the second survey
This is the second of three surveys the district promised to administer to measure the success of this year's instructional model. It comes at the perfect time as we prepare to offer an in-person component for our youngest learners and special education students.
Staff and students are being surveyed via their district accounts. The parent survey is open until Wednesday, January 13.
Please take a few moments to share your thoughts.
Message from the Superintendent
Despite the events of the past few days in our country, I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year. All of us have an opportunity to show our young people that during difficult times we can forge ahead with civility, grace, patience and understanding. We have much to accomplish in 2021.
We’ve been working hard since Dec. 16 when the governor announced new metrics for bringing students back to school for in-person instruction. I am very grateful to everyone who took part in meetings over the break so that we can bring our students back as quickly and safely as possible.
Our second survey opened this week for parents, students and staff. Parents can find the link here. Students and staff were provided a link via district platforms. This survey is a follow-up to the October survey. It’s very important that we know how many students will be returning when the in-person option is available. Please take time to fill out the survey.
Our revised Reopening Plan will be ready for School Board review at the next meeting on January 19. PreK-3rd Grades will be offered the in-person option first, ideally by February 1. Students are not required to return. Families may choose to remain in the distance learning model because core instruction will continue to be delivered via Canvas.
Health and safety precautions for our students and our staff are paramount in the decision-making process. Please remember the 3Ws -- Wear a mask, Wash your hands, and Watch your distance -- so that we can bring all of our students back as soon as possible. They need us more than ever.
