Halloween Spirit Day
Last year members of the AGS Student Leadership created a proposal to have a Halloween Spirit Day on October 31. For the first time AGS students and staff were able to dress in costume (at school) on Halloween. It was a huge success so we will be continuing this new tradition again this year. Guidelines for appropriate dress/costumes were developed by student leaders in coordination with AGS Administration. The guidelines are outlined below:
- No Masks
- No props, accessories, fake weapons
- No lights or noise makers
- No fake blood or gore
- No inflatable costumes (must be able to sit in a desk LOL)
- Make up/hair dye/spray must be done at home
We are looking forward a little Halloween Spirit at AGS. Students that don't wish to wear a costume are encouraged to wear Halloween T Shirts, socks, etc. We appreciate your assistance in making sure that costumes are school appropriate.

PTO Fundraiser Information
Once again, the PTO is asking for a onetime donation to support all the activities we provide to the AGS community. Similar to the past 2 years we will not have any other fundraisers and won't be asking students to sell anything. We can't do this without your support.
The top 3 classes with donations will get a special secret prize related to the Make it and Cake it theme. Don't forget to enter your child's SRT teacher at the end of checkout.
A school wide prize from Mr. Rettenmund and Mr. Seath will be earned if we reach our $6,000 dollar goal.
Thank you for supporting the AGS community!

Socktober 2023
Socktober is a campaign to collect socks for kids who are in foster care in our area. We have a local organization called Clara's Hope who supports local foster and adoptive families. One of the things that Clara's Hope does is put together First Night Bags for kids who enter foster care. Many kids who are placed in foster care, do so in an emergency situation and are removed from their home without things they need. Items that go into a First Night Bag include (all new items) socks, underwear, pajamas, toothbrush and other toiletry items, soft blanket or stuffy, coloring book/crayons or a journal/pen for older kids, etc. Things that make their first night in a strange place a little less scary.
There are donation boxes located in the main office and throughout AGS. Donation boxes will also be on hand during parent teacher conferences.
FHS E-Sports Fundraiser
You may have already heard that the Esports team is having a fundraiser, but I wanted to share the flyer and give more information to all of you. On Friday, November 10th, from 4:00-6:00 PM, Last Level will be donating the entry fees made to the team. Last Level is an arcade with both board and video games from every era. I encourage you to come at some point and to invite friends/family, as anyone who comes will be raising money for the team. The money will go toward getting new equipment for the growing team, as well as offsetting prices for jerseys for new players. Below is a picture of the flyer if you want to share and spread the word.

Next Week's Theme: Other People Matter - Words and Actions Impact Others
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Everything you say or do can affect others
and your relationships with them.
WHY DOES IT MATTER?
Our words and actions are our choices to
make, but they can have ripple effects
long after we make them. Words and
actions have the power to lift others up or
tear them down, and our words and
actions also impact ourselves. When
people are thoughtful about their words
and actions, we are likely to have a
happier and healthier culture.
βIn the arena of human life, the honors and rewards
fall to those who show their good qualities in
action.β
