February is Black History Month. The theme for this year’s Black History Month is African Americans and the Arts. Eaglets have started learning about Alma Woodsey Thomas! She was an artist and a teacher best known for her colorful abstract work. Click the links below to learn more about her and the beautiful art she created!

A FEW REMINDERS:

• No school for Eaglets on Friday February 16th, Monday February 19th, and Tuesday February 20th.

• Head Start Family Conferences are on February 20th!

• Remember to share any changes to your child's emergency contact information! If you have a new phone number, email, or additions or deletions to people allowed to pick your child up, let your child teacher know ASAP.

All Eaglets came home with a copy of the book, Mason's Big Little Feelings, by author Jasmine Fambro. Jasmine recorded a read aloud for our PK"ers"! Please check your child's backpack for the QR code or click the link below!

As we head into the second half of the year, classrooms continue to work on helping students ask for what they want or need. Here are some ways to practice at home!
