Upcoming Assessments
The information that we gain from these assessment help teachers plan instruction that meets the needs of each student.
It also gives us an opportunity to measure the growth each student has made through the first semester.
Encourage your child to do their very best on the assessments and to show what they know and can do!

Beginning Monday, December 4th, students in grades K-5 will be administered the DIBELS 8 reading assessment.

We will be communicated to families soon about the parent information meeting and the try-out date.
Social and Emotional Learning: Inclusiveness
This week we are going to talk about equity. Equity is the ability to recognize that sometimes what others need to be successful is different than what we need, and that’s okay! How can we practice inclusiveness while still honoring that we are all different? It can be difficult to see others getting “more”- more time, more food, or even more resources. It’s important to remember that fair and equal are not the same.
Read the Newsletter below for how you can support learning about inclusiveness at home.
Attendance
💜Volunteers Needed💜
Howbert is seeking volunteers to help with a variety of activities in our school. Each week we will list volunteer opportunities here. There will either be a link to sign up or you can always give the school a call and we'll be happy to help.
