Senior Leaf Clean-up Community Project
Written by: Dharma Jaster
On Saturday, November 12, several Clayton Ridge seniors raked yards for individuals who needed assistance, helping neighbors as a community-based project. It was the first snow of the year that morning. The individuals we met when doing the leaf clean-up were very sweet and appreciative; some individuals provided yummy treats to refuel the students and one donated to the class’s senior trip next spring. One senior said that helping these individuals made a positive difference for both the service provider and the ones receiving the service.
Seniors Host a Community Blood Drive
Written by Camdyn Deutmeyer
We would like to thank everyone that came out and donated blood at our last drive that was held on November 9. Our upcoming drive will be on Thursday, January 16 at the Guttenberg Municipal Building from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Please call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to schedule your appointment.
We would appreciate if more community members would donate. By donating, you can potentially save up to three lives! Donating also allows the students hosting the drive to earn more scholarship money!

That's a Wrap in Fifth Grade
5th graders helped the whole elementary school wrap gifts today. Younger students would go to the PBIS store and purchase things with their tickets. Most of the students pick things out for their parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. They are so proud of what they are giving to those they love. Our fifth graders embraced this opportunity to show leadership, guidance, relationship building, and of course, wrapping! Their teachers are so proud of them, and many other teachers commented on how wonderful the students did helping the younger students wrap.
We used almost all of the wrapping items we had (and we had tables full of bags, tissue paper, tags, wrapping paper and boxes). If you have leftover wrapping stuff, feel free to donate to the fifth grade wrapping project.
