Community Feedback Focus Group - Sept. 19, 7 p.m.

Superintendent Dr. Melissa Kaczkowski will be retiring at the end of this school year, 2023/2024. The Board of Education has selected the search firm School Exec Connect to lead the process to select the next superintendent for Glen Ellyn School District 41. The firm expects the Board to approve a new superintendent by January 2024. The appointment will not be effective until July 1, 2024.


In addition to an online survey and internal focus groups, School Exec Connect will host an open Community Feedback Focus Group to help determine what the community would like to see in a new superintendent. We want to hear from you!

Little Miss Ann Performs for Forest Glen Kids

Little Miss Ann, local children's musician, performed a full set of interactive songs for Forest Glen's early childhood and kindergarten students earlier this week. Little Miss Ann welcomed the youngest learners to the Library Media Center with singing, dancing, clapping, and counting! The library was filled with sound, smiles, and movement. Miss Ann entertained the classes with her box drum, guitar, songs we know by heart, and her own original music. Thank you, Little Miss Ann!

First BPAC Snack & Chat a Success!

The Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC) held its first Snack & Chat event this week at Churchill School. This session featured the Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center (GECRC) and focused on how parents can support their child's academic and social success at home and encourage them to take risks. There will be 5 more Snack and Chat session dates throughout the school year. Times and locations will be posted soon.
