Circle G Ministry
From Maryanne
We typically fill these newsletters with church services and horsemanship events...and we have had plenty of those to document in May! But in all our years of sending newsletters, I don’t know that I’ve ever shared a behind-the-ministry view from my perspective, so here we go! Here’s a glimpse of our life between preaching and traveling and building Circle G Ministry. The crazy thing is that it’s absolutely ordinary...yet at the same time, it’s all I’ve ever wanted. That’s the cool thing about God. He delights in giving us the desires of our heart. Between BJ, our family, our work with Circle G Ministry, your friendship and kindness, and the slices of life you see in these pictures, I’m getting to live out my dreams. I hope you are, too. We can never express how much you mean to Circle G and to us personally. You truly are the glue that holds ministry together. I really do love you!
I LOVE ALL THE GROWING THINGS
Have you ever seen such beautiful strawberry plants?? I’m not doing a full garden this year, but I did plant a row of huge containers along my pottery studio for a super cute salsa garden of tomatoes, peppers, onions, cilantro. These recycled cattle feed tubs are absolutely perfect for a container garden.
MY FAVORITE VIEW
This is my pottery studio! Believe it or not, this is a tidier section compared to the rest. In addition to bookkeeping, scheduling, and receipting for Circle G, I spend about 40 hours a week in here. One of the best things about my studio is the view. It overlooks BJ’s riding arena. Just about every day that he’s not on the road, he has folks here riding with him. When it’s pretty, I open the windows and enjoy their conversation and laughter as I work. Right now I’m stockpiling for my store at the State Fair of WV in August. After that, I’ll spend the fall prepping for and doing pop up pottery shops in Bernadette, my seafoam green Shasta camper. I can’t tell you how happy my pottery business makes me!
ANIMAL ADVENTURES (AND MISADVENTURES)
The new babies are doing well...and we still have two mares bred! BJ travels A LOT, and when he’s out of town, I take care of the animals. This week, he’s in Wyoming, which means I’m looking after horses in two different places, including administering daily meds to expectant mamas. And remember Jack, the Golden Doodle puppy I told you about last time? Since then, he took an unfortunate tumble...and ended up with a broken femur that had to be fixed with pins. We’re now three weeks post-surgery, and the X-rays show that everything is healing well!
