Board Report - January 2024

• The parking area at the park has been sealed and resurfaced. The striping will occur when the weather permits.

• The Transportation Department has winterized the buses and are prepared to continue to transport our kids safely. As winter weather blows in we will continue to monitor travel conditions.

• The Maintenance Department has winterized all outdoor plumbing and areas without heat. A gas heater was added to the BI, old boiler room to keep this area at a stable temperature.

• The Maintenance Department assisted the structural engineer that is working with WRA. We removed some acoustic panels and sheetrock to study the structure of the existing gym as we plan for the remodel.

• Exterior doors are remaining a top priority and these are being check in each building weekly or even daily. The maintenance department knows the importance of these door sweeps and are quick to respond when work orders are placed.

• Learning in the Loo - Stephanie refreshes these "tech learning tips" in the staff restrooms throughout the district each month. There is always time to learn something new!
  

• The tech department continues to stay busy with tech tickets and resolving issues.

• Mike and Daniel are continuing to add devices to our new, updated EDR. Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), also referred to as endpoint detection and threat response (EDTR), is an endpoint security solution that continuously monitors end-user devices to detect and respond to cyber threats like ransomware and malware.

• The Technology Department attended the North Star Tech Meeting in Prosper on January 10th.
