Stauffer's Summer Highlights

Hey Spartan Families,

It is our hope that you will have a successful and challenging school year with many new and fun experiences at Stauffer. Our online Spartan Guide can help familiarize you and your family with the rules, regulations, and expectations of all our students. We know that back to school shopping is right around the corner and we hope you and your family will take a few moments to review our dress code which can be found online by clicking here. All Spartans will also receive a Spartan Guide planner during the first few days of school which houses all of this information while also being a tool to help them stay organized in all of their classes.

Stauffer is committed to ensure that all Spartans will read critically, communicate effectively, and strive for success. To obtain our goal, we will need to work together as a team of parents, teachers, and students. We are dedicated to providing a rigorous 21st century education while preparing our students to be college and career ready, globally competitive, and citizens of strong character. Stauffer is so excited to offer a 7 period schedule for our Spartans which allows them to take more electives and/or get the extra academic support they need! Due to the 7 periods, we run a block schedule 4 days a week while running all 7 periods every Monday. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, students will be released at 2:41pm while every Wednesday and Friday, students will be released at 1:31pm. If your student needs a place to go after school, we encourage your family to sign up for the DFEO Access After School Program - information on how to sign up for that program can be found below. We also encourage all families to check out DUSD's 2023-2024 school year calendar for a look at all holidays and student-free days. Tap here to check it out!

Are you interested in your Spartan attending the DFEO Access after school program? You must complete the steps below during DUSD's Online Registration through parentconnection.dusd.net for both new and returning students. Questions? STEP 1 | PASO 1

Our interest form is now part of DUSD’s pre-registration on Q. Check YES to the question that asks if your are interested in DFEO’s programs. Nuestro formulario de interés ahora es parte de la preinscripción de DUSD en Q Parent Connect. Marque "SÍ" a la pregunta que le pregunta si está interesado en los programas de DFEO.

STEP 2 | PASO 2

You will be placed on an interest list for DFEO. This does not guarantee a spot in the program. Se le colocará en una lista de interés para DFEO. Esto no garantiza un lugar en el programa.

STEP 3 | PASO 3

Once a space is available for your child, you will receive an email confirmation with a registration link. Una vez que haya un espacio disponible para su hijo, recibirá una confirmación por correo electrónico con un enlace de registro.

Complete the registration before the deadline indicated in the email. Complete el registro antes de la fecha límite indicada en el correo electrónico.

Attention ALL Incoming 6th Graders! Our WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) Leaders CAN'T WAIT to meet you on Thursday, August 10th to take a tour of campus, meet other Spartans, and have a day full of fun! This very special day, for 6th graders + WEB leaders ONLY, that allows plenty of time to for 6th graders to ask questions, learn where their classes are located, and meet/relate to other Spartans who are entering middle school for the first time. We hope all 6th graders (students only!) can attend: Thursday, August 10th from 9am-12pm.

All 6th grade parents are also invited on August 10th from 11am-12pm for a Parent Orientation Meeting where there will be a short presentation, a chance to meet the admin + counseling team, as well as get any questions answered that you may have.
