A Note from the Superintendent
It seems impossible that another school year has already started; summer break feels like yesterday. And yet, a quick trip down any hallway provides immediate proof that learning is back in full swing, and here we are nearing the end of the first quarter. Our students are already doing great things district-wide, and Successes are already being celebrated for exceeding reading goals, outstanding math scores, and learning through hands-on studies.
It’s no secret that our school year started a little rocky as we moved to TeacherEase. We are still working through some technology bugs, but that hasn’t stopped school from marching forward. Our staff have worked tirelessly through this transition and adapted well to the changes and a few bumps along the way. I can’t thank YOU - our parents, enough for their understanding of the situation. A parent’s guide is linked on our website and in this newsletter. I hope you find it helpful.
Homecoming in Savannah, Missouri, is one of life’s rare Rockefeller moments. There is nothing quite like the sense of pride and camaraderie in the air as the band makes its way down Kelly Hill, leading 100+ parade entries full of candy and pure community spirit and celebrating a win on the football field surrounded by the Savage Family. Our students are a buzz of activities this time of year, from senior nights to fall festivals and preparing for regional competitions. If you haven’t taken the time to catch a game or enjoy the band under the Friday night lights, I highly recommend you do so.

Time to check in with your Child's Teacher
Parent - Teacher conferences will be held the week of October 23 - 26. Check with your child's school to set up a conference time. This is a great opportunity to ensure your child is starting the school year on the best foot possible. However, our teachers and staff are available to parents year round and we'd love to discuss your child's challenges and successes with you.
