Willow Parent Bulletin # 30
April 14, 2023
welcome back!
One of the other things that comes with spring is field trips. We love that our Wildcats can experience these extentions to what they learn in class. Most field trips limit the number of chaperones. If you do get chosen, please be sure to read over the Chaperone Guidelines before the event. If you don't get chosen, we apologize and hope you will consider helping us with other activities like field day. It is not appropriate to show up at the field trip on your own.
Thank you to all who helped our Unified Champion team by stopping by Crumbl Cookies on Wednesday. 15% of all sales will come back to our athletes. For those of you who didn't make the drive, don't worry, the same owner, Michelle and Derek, are opening a store in Homewood this summer. We look forward to having a delicious relationship with them!
We are already well into our planning for next year! If you would like to share your input regarding your child's placement for next year, please use this link: https://forms.office.com/r/XxqTuXjX8C
This form will be available until June 1st.
Registration for all students begins on April 18th. PLEASE register your child right away. We use the numbers to build classes and programs. Late registrations impact everyone. Fees are not due at the time of registration,
Positive Office Referrals!
It's been a fabulous four ...years!

Community Resources from PTA
At the Homewood PTA Winter General Meeting, we had the pleasure of hosting speakers from several organizations that partner with the Southland Juvenile Justice Council of Cook County to provide resources to schools. The PTA believes these resources could benefit Homewood schools. Here is a brief summary of some of the organizations and the resources they offer.
The Midwest Family and Community Resources is a grant supported program to provide support to children with at-risk behaviors. The program is a 12 week, in school, therapeutic course that helps promote attendance, addresses peer pressure, and helps with working through emotions to make better choices. In addition to the therapy, the program also offers resources such as meditation, yoga, and crafts. Resources are also available to support teachers, staff and parents to better understand the challenges students face and help promote communication to best suit individual student’s needs.
