In a climate where there is increasing emphasis being placed on test scores, "kid watching" as a part of ongoing assessment can be a key piece of informing your teaching practice. Using digital tools to record students' understanding as they are working assists us with teaching the whole child. In this roundtable session, six elementary teachers will share how they are using digital tools including Evernote, VoiceThread, Educreations, and Google Forms as a means of authentic data collection while capturing literacy development, collaborative learning and celebrating growth.
