Any student applying for admission to any Texas public university, as well as to participating community and private colleges, will need to click on the link below and apply. Some Texas colleges/universities charge an application fee. Navarro Junior College does not charge an application fee, and students can apply for admission to Navarro at ApplyTexas.org.

ApplyTexas has changed its application process to GoApplyTexas for Summer 2022 and beyond. Please go to https://goapplytexas.org/ to apply for Summer/Fall 2022 admission.

Correction Submission Deadline

Last Call for Corrections! Any corrections or updates to your 2020–21 FAFSA form must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Central time on Sept. 11, 2021.

Changes to Your Family’s Financial Situation

If your or your family’s financial situation has changed significantly from what is reflected on your federal income tax return (for example, if you’ve lost a job or otherwise experienced a drop in income), you may be eligible to have your financial aid adjusted. Complete the FAFSA questions as instructed on the application (including the transfer of tax return and income information), submit your FAFSA form, then contact the school you plan to attend to discuss how your current financial situation has changed. Note that the school's decision is final and cannot be appealed to the U.S. Department of Education.

For additional resources like information on “who is eligible”, “who is considered my parent on the FAFSA”, and “Dependency Status”, the Dept of Education has a page with several infographics that you and your students may find useful.

It also has videos you can send out prior to your FAFSA nights that may encourage students/parents to attempt the process on their own. These documents on the linked page usually make up the bulk of FAFSA questions and should be able to assist you in answering issues.

The document available on the website is the “Draft 2022-23 FAFSA”. I would encourage you, students/parents, to use it as a training tool

The purpose of this guidance is to help HSoC scholars remain on task and on schedule to graduate in the spring semester if not earlier. The advent of the COVID-19 pandemic has forced some scholars to work from home during their quarantine.

It is the expectation that any student that may have been quarantined due to COVI-19 is expected to work from home for a minimum of 360 minutes a day.

Students are expected to check school and or personal email daily for information. If HSoC students are in need of a device to continue their efforts to work and excel in school.
