We need all students to have completed this form before November 7th if playing basketball. You may also fill it out for the spring sports as well.
Thanks for your help,
🐕 INTRODUCING BEA! 🐕
Hinesburg Community School is excited to welcome Bea, the therapy dog, to campus on Tuesdays starting November 14. Bea's handler, Melissa Akey, works at HCS and will be alongside Bea as she works at school. For now, Bea will start slow and take time to get to know our school. Eventually Bea will be visiting classrooms and working with small groups of students. Additional communication will be sent home when Bea is scheduled to visit your child's classroom or if your child's small group will be working with Bea.

SO YOU WANT TO BE A PENGUIN PLUNGER?
What is it? The Burlington Cool Schools Penguin Plunge helps raise money for the Vermont Special Olympics. It requires participants to jump into the frigid waters of Lake Champlain.
When Does It Take Place? Saturday February 10th
How Do I Sign Up? To register for the event is free, it just requires you to fill out the online form found at: Click on this link. Once you get to this page, you will want to click on the tab for Register Today: Join a Team The team name is: Hinesburg Community School. The rest should be self-explanatory.
What About Fundraising? Each participant needs to raise $150 before the day of the plunge. For anyone who raises more than the required amount, I am able to move money from one person’s account to another to help out team members when I register the team a few days before the plunge. If you are not able to raise the $150, you are not allowed to plunge.
Any other questions, contact Mr. Lasher: plasher@cvsdvt.org
