A Message from Curtis Principal, Sonya Pitcock
Cougar parents,
During Red Ribbon Week, we encourage all students to dress up and show their support for making good choices when it comes to avoiding drugs and alcohol. Please help us make sure our dress up days stay within dress code guidelines. Our Tracks classes will be providing lessons and PTA has provided a great speaker who will join us virtually and share a message with our students. We know kids have heard this message many times, but as life events change so do their perspectives, so we continue to remind students that they are supported and cared about by so many and we are here to help them. Special thanks to our PTA for providing this great resource to our school!
On another note, we are very happy of what a good job our students are doing with our new safety measures at school. We encourage you to continue to remind them to not high five, hand shake or hug during this time. We are reminding them here, but it’s what middle schoolers do, so we have to help them keep this in the forefront of their thoughts for their safety.
Thanks for all the support from home this year! Our teachers feel your partnership and are working hard to support your students each day!
Respectfully,
Sonya Pitcock
