Volume 4 Issue 30
It was a week of awesomeness for our elementary students. They had a field trip to UCI, Maverick Hangout, and Music Assembly all in one week! Does it get any better than that. Well, you'll have to read on to see!
This week's background features pictures from all of the great events our elementary students got to take part in this week. Such a fun week of good things!
As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or compliments, please reach out to Mr. Fineberg, our principal, at efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us.

Principal's Message...
Wow, what a great week we had. As mentioned above, our elementary students had a great week of fun including a field trip to UCI, Glow Party Maverick Hangout, and music assembly. What a great week.
For our middle and high school students, this is the time to pick their classes and confirm plans for next year. Please check out the counselor corner below for some upcoming events and dates with Mrs. Wijnhamer related to those plans.
Additionally, as we enter into April, it marks the beginning of our state testing program for students in grades 3-8 and 11. The testing provides an important opportunity to gauge our students' progress on a micro and macro level. The feedback received helps us make decisions related to our goals as a school and insures that students are making progress as compared to other students in the district, county, and state. Students' participation is key to getting accurate information. Additionaly, the new system at the state requires 95% of students participate in the testing. For all students under the 95% rate, we receive the lowest possible score for as many students as we are short of the 95% benchmark. With that in mind, we appreciate your support during this testing season. If you are considering opting out of the testing, please feel free to reach out to me as we may be able to come up with some alternatives that may work to alleviate your concerns.
As always, if you have any questions, compliments, ideas, and/or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out at (714) 430-2052 ext. 52103 or efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us.

PTA Roundup
Hello Maverick Families,
Pajama Pants are in! Come check them out in the office. We have a limited number of pants available in the high school office for $30. Stop by and grab a pair. Or, you can order a pair at https://www.tustinconnectpta.com/product-page/pajama-pants.
On another note, we are sad to announce that this year's Movie Night has been cancelled, despite our best efforts to reschedule, between the unpredictable weather, time change, and limited availability of moving the event indoors, we made the difficult decision to cancel it this year. Stay tuned for our end of year activities!
