Our Bulldogs know how to finish strong! Benchmarking and end of year assessments are taking place now and in the next couple of weeks. One of our end of year school goals is that 70% of our students will meet their growth goals on STAR. In addition to final academic assessments, students' positive choices are racking up the Bones and Paws and there will be many fun classroom celebrations as we look towards summer. Please take a moment to encourage your child to finish the school year strong and to keep reaching for their goals in the time we have left together this school year.

Staff Appreciation Week (May 8-12)

Thank you in advance for showing your care and support for our incredibly hard working and talented team this upcoming week during staff appreciation week. All of our staff members deserve recognition and our thanks. We appreciate your help in making this a special week for our team!

Student Information Form (3rd and 4th grade): If you have not already, please complete the student information form for class placement next school year. You must use the correct Person ID to submit the form. Call the main office with any questions. Student information forms are due from families by Wednesday, May 31st.

Lost and Found: Is your child missing a water bottle or jacket? Come by the lost and found to claim any missing/lost items before the end of the school year. All items will be donated the first week in June.

Summer Learning: Recommendation notices for Churchill's summer learning programming will be sent out next week. The families of students recommended should make every effort to ensure their child is able to participate. Please complete the registration ASAP. Summer learning will take place at Churchill from June 12-June 29 (No Class June 19), on M-Th, from 8:30-11:30am. There is no cost and families must provide their own transportation. Please contact Mrs. Edwards, amy.edwards@hsd153.org with questions.

Devices: Device turn-in will take place the last week of school. Please check-in now with your child about the condition of their device. Place a tech ticket as soon as possible if there are issues or damages that need to be taken care of. If you have questions, our main office can connect with Mrs. Sims.

Join us for a fun evening of math and mixed media!

The fourth and fifth graders at Churchill have the amazing opportunity to participate in choir. There are three choirs at Churchill: 4th Grade Choir, 5th Grade Choir, and Homewood Children's Chorus (HCC). All of the choirs are so much fun and I would love to have every student participate. Sign-ups for the 4th and 5th Grade Choirs will be open until October of next school year. To participate in HCC next year, students need to audition this May. More information and QR codes to the sign-ups can be found in this informational flyer, which your student should have brought home.

At Churchill, all students have access to enrichment learning and activities. Please see our guide for more details about our schoolwide programming.
