This year we will be focusing on Standard One The school has a mission statement and a philosophy statement which indicate the integration of the Roman Catholic Faith into all aspects of school life. and Standard Five (The school maintains an active partnership with parents whose fundamental concern is the spiritual and academic education of their children.
An email will be sent to you tomorrow to complete the two surveys. They will take a minute to complete for each survey. I thank you in advance for your assistance with this.

Honoring our Fallen U.S. Veterans
On Saturday December 15th, some of the 8th graders and their families got together to honor some of America’s veterans by participating in the Wreaths Across America program. Wreaths Across America is an organization that aims to help people “Remember our fallen U.S. Veterans, honor those who serve, and teach…the value of freedom”. The students and their families were given the opportunity to recognize the ultimate sacrifice that a lot of the men and women who are buried at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno made for our country. Then, in an act of gratitude they helped lay wreaths at the veterans’ grave sites. Along with laying the wreaths, all who participated were instructed say the name of—and perhaps a little prayer for—the individuals who had been buried at that particular site so that they would not be forgotten. This was a great opportunity for the students involved to make a local connection to the more distant Arlington National Cemetery which a lot of the 8th grade students will be visiting in May.

BOX TOPS
Box Tops for Education was started by General Mills in California back in 1996, after the company decided they wanted to create a program to help support education and benefit America’s schools. All Souls has benefitted from this program over the years, receiving sports equipment, microscopes, and a variety of other educational items.
You can help by clipping the Box Tops off approved products you already have in your pantry. You don't need to clip the actual product UPC — just the Box Tops logo will do. From frozen foods to produce and household cleaning products, there are literally hundreds of opportunities to help, and each Box Top is worth 10 cents. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it adds up fast.
There are so many participating companies! Participating companies and product lines include General Mills, Green Giant, Totino's, Pillsbury, Old El Paso, Ziploc, Hefty, Juicy Juice, Betty Crocker and many more. For a full list of eligible items check the Box Tops for Education website at https://www.boxtops4education.com/earn .
