Have a Blessed Thanksgiving

We thank you, God, for blessing our school. Holy Trinity Catholic School has always had wonderful teachers and staff members who believe in the mission of Catholic education. We have had terrific families who seek out our school as an extension of their family in teaching the faith. We have had amazing supporters who donate and make sure the school has what it needs to provide for the work to be done. In doing God’s work here on earth, God provides now and has, from the beginning, gifted Holy Trinity with good people.

In this time of thankfulness and realizing our blessings, we thank everyone who is and has been a part of Holy Trinity Catholic School. We thank God above all!

“Live in the Moment.” This is something we constantly hear, and say that we try to follow, but how often do we actually accomplish this? “Never let yourself think that because God has given you many things to do for Him: pressing routine jobs, a life full up with duties and demands of a very practical sort that all these needs separate you from communion with Him. God is always coming to you in the Sacrament of the Present Moment. Meet and receive Him there with gratitude in that sacrament; however unexpected its outward form may be, receive Him in every sight and sound, joy, pain, opportunity and sacrifice.” ~Evelyn Underhill

Take some time this week and reflect on these thoughts:
What is distracting you from the present moment in daily life?
Do you have a favorite way to bring yourself back to the present moment?
What battles are you fighting that God isn’t asking you to fight that are costing your attention?
How is my current relationship with my content and media consumption?
How does the Lord want to reorder my time?
Where in my life do I feel hurried? Am I the source of hurry or is the source external? What specific duties of my vocation am I avoiding or too distracted to fulfill?

DARE TO BELIEVE: EUCHARISTIC DISCIPLES

Yesterday, students and staff had a fire drill.

Today we practiced our ALICE drill. We began with a lockdown, followed by some students doing an evacuation.

Holy Trinity Catholic School Glow Walk

Thank you to all who came out and enjoyed the food trucks and did the walk with us!

Great fun was had by all!

The money we raise at Holy Trinity will be used for specialized field trips, bussing for field trips, music department risers, and for our library remodel.

$500 Raised = Out of Dress Code Day - Tuesday, November 21st, 2023

$1000 Raised = 20 minutes Extra Recess

$2000 Raised = BINGO Party

$3000 Raised = Pajama Day

$5000 Raised = Ice Cream Party

$7000 Raised = Movie/Popcorn Party

$10,000 Raised = Top 10 students can throw a pie in the face of Mrs. Longden or

Father Patrick

We have brought in $7,519.50 from pledges, the walk, and online donations.

Donations were turned in to the Archdiocese. We will receive our proportional match from the Archdiocese of Milwaukee in early 2024.

Special thank you to our sponsors (Quest Engineering and West Bend Elevator) who helped cover some of our initial costs.

Tuesday, November 21st 2023 will be our Out of Dress Code Day from our Glow Walk Incentive.

We understand we have a prayer service, but are allowing students to come out of dress code.

Home and School Meeting

Monday, November 20th - 6 P.M.

They will have a board party that evening with their meeting.

Pick-up Information

Delivery and pick-up date for the wreaths and poinsettias is Monday, November 20th.

Pick-up will begin at 3:00 P.M.

PRELUDE AUDITIONS

Tuesday, November 21st: any students who are interested in performing at the “prelude” before the Christmas concert are welcome to come and audition (play!) for Mrs. Muehlbauer on Tuesday November 21st. K-3rd grade please come during 1st recess and 4th-8th please come during lunch recess. Musical pieces needn’t be “finished,” students just need to have some of it prepared to show. CHOIR PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY

Saturday, December 2nd at 1:30pm: 4th-8th grade choir members are invited to perform Christmas carols in the lobby prior to the Kettle Moraine Symphony concert at UWM Washington County. Students should plan to attend choir practice on Nov 16th and 30th in preparation. Watch for a piece of paper with more information in your child’s backpack.

BAND UPDATE

Mrs. Muehlbauer and Mrs. Longden are working on putting together information regarding bring band/orchestra to Holy Trinity. More information will be sent out. Looking at having lessons with some string instruments and band instruments. We have had a few people interested and are hoping to get more as more is planned.

On Thursday, November 30th, Chesterton Academy is blessed to host Father John Burns and the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia for a special night for parents on "Building a Culture of Vocations: Helping Your Child Discern God's Will."

The Kettle Moraine Symphony is excited to once again be offering a family Holiday concert on Saturday, December 2nd at the University of Wisconsin- Washington County. Besides all your favorite Christmas music, there will be cookies and cocoa as well as a special visit from Santa! All children and students get in free! Please help us spread the word and nurture this beautiful community tradition.
