Our North Side Pyramid Principals would like to share our second pyramid newsletter with our North Side Pyramid community. This year we will be sending out pyramid newsletters that will highlight the great things our students are experiencing in our schools. We hope that you enjoy the first edition.

We want to recognize Mr. Bartolotta, principal at Kirkpatrick MS, who recently shared donated school supplies with other elementary schools with in our North Side Pyramid. Here you can see him delivering supplies to Kirkpatrick Elementary. Our team wants to thank him for his generosity and committment to help ALL students in our North Side Pyramid!

Congratulations to Ms. Ocegueda’s 3rd grade class for having the most PTA members! They won with 18 members in their homeroom and will receive snacks as well as $50 to spend for their classroom. If you have not yet joined PTA, it is not too late! Dues are $6. You can grab an envelope from the front office or join online at www.joinpta.org

Kirkpatrick Elementary

Manuel Jara Elementary
Our wonderful partners at Academy 4 donated Chromebooks to our students! Thank you to Academy 4, the Roop Family Foundation and other generous individuals in our community for this wonderful donation!
Our Manuel Jara Family celebrated Ms. Castaneda and Ms. Collins on Boss's Day! All staff added a token of appreciation for campus administrators.

Rufino Mendoza Elementary
The Mighty Trojan Family is very grateful to our community member, Mr. David Cruz, a graduate of Texas A&M University and a Vietnam Verteran, who generously donated winter coats for our students in need. Mr. Cruz wanted no recognition, in fact we had to plead with him to take a picture for us, but did say the jackets, "Were a gift from a veteran that got lucky." Thank-you, Mr. Cruz!
Word problems are no match for our second grade scholars in Ms. Demel’s class who are using their UPScheck strategy!
Ms. Wall’s fourth graders are analyzing the text features of concrete poetry and how they help the reader.
Sam Rosen Elementary
At Sam Rosen we pride ourselves with supporting our students both academcially and with social-emotional guidance. Here you can see Ms. Leeann Herrera seamlessly engaging and working with both her in-person and virtual students. We then have Mrs. Natosha Farrell, new Sam Rosen Counselor, leading a session during one of her Guidance Lessons with 2nd graders. Sam Rosen is blessed to have her on board!
Washington Heights Elementary
Washington Heights wants to recognize their Community/Business Partner, Unity One, who donated a backpack full of supplies for each student. They also donated a $25 Amazon gift card for each teacher to purchase instructional supplies of their choice! Unity One Rocks!
WJ Turner Elementary
Our students and teachers at W.J. Turner were excited to get back into the classroom. Mrs. Sandoval, second grade teacher, conducts a lesson for both in-person and virtual learning at the same time. Students have an opportunity to practice new skills, as they solve a math lesson together. We also want to highlight Mrs. Martinez, fourth grade teacher, who's virtual students and in-person students work on a project together.
