Destination UML

From March 22 through April 23, UMass Lowell is hosting a series of events intended to provide information about all aspects of UML to prospective students, families, school administrators, teachers and school counselors. Junior To Do List

Juniors! This is a simple guide outlining things you may want to start thinking about for your plans after graduation:

1. Register for SAT/ACT if you plan to attend a two year or a four year institution.

College Board-SAT

ACT

2. Complete several college searches using Naviance and College Board. Visit websites of colleges that interest you. You can also request information to be mailed to you directly from the college website. Many colleges are offering virtual tours as well!

3. Prepare a list of schools that meet your interests and needs.

4. Make sure your resume is up to date!

FAFSA Deadlines

Seniors and Families-

2020–21 Academic Year:

FAFSA forms must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CT on June 30, 2021. Any corrections or updates must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CT on Sept. 11, 2021.

College Deadlines:

Each college may have its own deadline. Check with the college(s) you’re interested in attending. You may also want to ask your college about its definition of an application deadline. Is it the date your FAFSA form is processed or the date the college receives your processed FAFSA data?

State Deadlines:

Each state has its own deadline. See the listing below for our state.

Massachusetts:

For priority consideration, submit your application by midnight CT on May 1, 2021.

College Application/FAFSA Completion Appointments

School Counselors will be running College Application/FAFSA Completion Appointments from 2-4 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting Tuesday, April 6th through May 27th.

In addition to these after school sessions School Counselors will be available during April vacation from 8-2 on Tuesday, April 20th for College Application/FAFSA completion sessions.

Lastly, School Counselors will hold 2 evening events:

April 27th 6pm-8pm
May 11th 6pm -8pm
