  • Monday, 9/18 - Stronger Together: Wear sports or team gear
  • Tuesday, 9/19 - Attend Hut: Wear camouflage or green
  • Wednesday, 9/20 - Don't Stress, Do Your Best: Wear crocs or crazy socks
  • Thursday, 9/21 - Engagement: Patterns-wear as many different patterns
  • Friday, 9/22 - School Spirit: Wear RVES school shirt!

Tuesday, SEPTEMBER 26 - FOOD DAY (MAKE TORTILLAs DURING first recess)

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27 - LAUNGUAGE DAY (special guests will read bilingual books)

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 - GAME DAY (play loteria during first recess)

FRIDAY , SEPTEMBER 29 - HISPANIC Cultural/school spirit DAY (wear your favorite Hispanic cultural outfit or school spirit shirt) *Special folkorico performance during first recess*

CCHS Homecoming parade

Thursday, September 28 is Cathedral City High School's Homecoming Parade. As usual, Rio Vista will be participating in the CCHS parade. All students and parents, wishing to walk with and represent Rio Vista are welcome. All participants are responsible for their own transportation. This year’s theme is “Across the Hocoverse” (Marvel vs DC). Rio Vista will be celebrating that LEARNING IS OUR SUPERPOWER and we will be dressing as superheroes. We are asking everyone to dress in a Superhero costume or wear a Rio Vista T-shirt. We will have masks and capes for the students.


We will meet at 3:45 pm on Cathedral Canyon. The parade will begin at 4:30. Families should park in the structure near city hall. Then walk to the meeting spot on Cathedral Canyon. The parade travels down Cathedral Canyon and ends at City Hall.

National Walk to School Day 10/4

  • Wednesday, October 4 @ 7am
  • Meet at the Stater Bros parking lot (67800 Vista Chino)
  • Then we walk to school together!

Dippin' Dots

PTA will be selling Dippin' Dots Wednesdays after school for $4 cash only and while supplies last.

School Council Meeting

Rio Vista is having a site council meeting on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 4-5:30 on Zoom. Site council meetings are open to the public. This site council meeting is a training. The zoom link will be posted on our site council webpage and on the school calendar.
