Principal's Message
Tiger Families,
Welcome to 2nd quarter, everyone! After work and inservice days last Friday and this past Monday here at school for our staff, it was great to welcome students back on Tuesday. With the start of 2nd quarter, we are excited to announce our Tiger Up! 2nd quarter incentive trip to Scene 75! We announced the details of this incentive to our students on Tuesday morning and we hope it provides a goal for all all of our amazing students to strive for to finish out the 1st semester strong. You can check out the details and eligibility requirements for this incentive below.
1st quarter report cards are now posted to TigerParent.me. To access your child's report card, log into the site and then click on the following: Students > View Profile > find report card under File Attachments. If you have any trouble accessing the report card, please let us know!
We hope to see everyone at our Loveland Showcase Night next Weds, 10/25 at 6:30 at LHS! This is a great chance to see all the awesome things our students and staff across Loveland Schools are doing and always makes for a fun evening.

Orchestra Concert
Our 7th and 8th Grade Orchestra students showing off their skills on Tuesday for their fall performance! They sounded GREAT and we appreciate everyone who came out to listen to these talented musicians.
Cross Country ECC Champions
Congratulations to our girls cross country team who won the ECC championship this past Saturday and to our boys for coming in 2nd place!

Tiger Up! 2nd Quarter Student Incentive Trip - Scene 75
We are excited to announce our Tiger Up! 2nd Quarter Student Incentive Trip which will be happening at Scene 75 in Milford at a date to be determined in January! This trip provides a chance for our students to enjoy a fun day of arcade games, bumper cars, a lazer maze and tag, mini-bowl, go-carts and putt-putt with their friends! The cost of the trip will include lunch, all attractions and a $10 game card for $20. Ticket's won't be purchased til January, but as this is an incentive trip that will cover all of 2nd quarter, we are communicating the eligibility requirements with students and families now:
Student Eligibility Requirements
- 2nd Quarter Grades:
- No Ds or Fs
- Behavior/Discipline: (10/17-12/21)
- No in-school or out-of-school suspensions (including bus suspensions)
- No more than 2 administrative detentions
Halloween Dance and Candy Grams
Halloween Dance
The LMS Student Council is excited to be holding a Halloween Dance on Friday, October 27th from 2:15 to 4:00 p.m! Costumes are permitted for the dance, but they are NOT allowed to be worn at school during the day. If you choose to wear a costume for the dance, costumes must be stored in student's lockers during the school day and students will be given time to dress before the dance. All costumes must be dress code appropriate or students may be asked to change.
Tickets will be $5 each and will be sold Oct. 23 to 27th during Tiger Time. No tickets will be sold at the door. Bring money for concessions! If you have any questions, email Ms. Rose (roseka@lovelandschools.org) or Mrs. Pitcher (pitchetr@lovelandschools.org).

Tiger Up! Staff Member of the Week - Mrs. Katie Manly
Congratulations to this week's Tiger Up! Staff Member of the Week, Katie Manly! Mrs. Manly was nominated by Mrs. Turner, her REAL Team colleague, who recognizes Katie for being a student-centered teacher who is always willing to try out a new strategy in her classroom. Katie is a calming presence, a great teammate and an awesome person and professional. We are so appreciative of you, Mrs. Manly! Thank you for all you do for all our students and LMS!

Brought to you by our Career and College Counselor, Mr. Drews Mitchell, LMS is proud to share a "Career of the Week" with our students and families every week here at LMS. With the goal of educating our Tigers about potential career options aligned with our academic pathways, we'll be sharing these with our students here at school in a number of ways as well as featuring them here in our Tiger Talk.

Power of the Pen
Does your child love creative writing?
Are they a storyteller?
Do they enjoy a little competition?
Then Power of the Pen is for them! Power of the Pen Tryouts will be Nov. 1 and 2 during Tiger Time in Room 39. Students will attend one day only and should come prepared to write a creative story in just 20 minutes. Click here for more information or talk to your ELA teacher.

The Yearbook Club is trying to get as many people as possible to upload pictures for the yearbook. These pictures could include shots from sporting events, pep rallies, assemblies, and any other school related activities.

DC Information for Current 8th Graders
If you have a current 8th grade student who is interested in traveling to Washington DC in May and still not signed up, it's not too late! School Fees
School fees have been posted for all LMS students and are $100 for the 23-24 school year. This includes a general school fee of $50 and a technology fee of $50. Fees may be paid online using PaySchoolsCentral.com or by check made out to “Loveland City Schools" in the LMS office on 8/10 and 8/11. Please include your child's first and last name on the memo line of the check.
Prompt payment of your student's fees is greatly appreciated.

Cross Country:
Congratulations to our LMS Cross Country teams this past weekend at the ECC Championships!!
Our Boys' team finished as runner-ups. Finishing in the top 10 were Stan McCoy, who took 2nd overall and Keene Wolfer took 9th.
The boys' open team took 3rd place.
The girls' finished the day as ECC champs! Kali Rodriguez was the overall champion, Brynleigh Scherman finished 2nd, Abby Kaszyca took 7th, and Jackie Fossit was 9th.
The girls' open also won their race! Audrey Gibson was the race champion, Taylor Wethington took 2nd, Kyra Chevalier was 3rd, Macy Weiland 5th, Kate Weigand 7th, and Julia Galles 10th.
State Competition:
Best of luck to our runners who will be traveling to Fortress Obetz this Sunday for the OHSAA Middle School Cross Country Championships! Go Tigers!
