The Coin Drive is NEXT WEEK!
Hopefully your student brought home a takeout box to fill with loose change in support of The Foundation for Tigard Tualatin Schools. During the week of Feb. 5-9, the kids get to deposit their coins into a fun coin machine!
The Foundation (FTTS) is a nonprofit that raises money to fund more teachers at all 17 district schools, including ours! This year, Deer Creek is using our Foundation Grant to fund teachers of small math groups. Visit https://the-ftts.org/all-grants to see how all schools have benefited from Foundation School Grants.
Deer Creek SOCK FUNDRAISER!
We're doing a fundraiser with HoopSwagg Socks! Purchase at least one pair of Deer Creek socks for $14.99, and they'll donate 35% of your entire order to PSO.
Then, Rock Your Socks on Thursday, March 21st to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. Support Deer Creek and World Down Syndrome Day by rocking a pair of these colorful, fun branded socks!
Walk + Roll to School next Wednesday
We invite all TTSD schools and students to join us for our second annual Winter Walk+Roll to School Day on Wednesday, Feb 7! Walk, roll, or bus to school that day.
Walk+Roll to School Day raises awareness of the need to create safer routes for walking and bicycling and emphasize the importance of issues such as increasing physical activity among children, pedestrian safety, traffic congestion and concern for the environment. The events build connections between families, schools and the broader community.

Deliver food boxes to Deer Creek families
There are a handful of Deer Creek families who rely on the twice monthly food box provision from Packed With Pride, but don't have the transportation to pick up the boxes.
Can you help on a 1st or 3rd Wednesday evening? Sign up here. You simply go through the Packed with Pride car line between 5pm-6:30pm, open your trunk for volunteers to load the food boxes, then deliver to the address provided by Daisy Ruiz, our Family Partnership Advocate. All family identities remain anonymous and protected.
Questions? Email Daisy at druiz@ttsd.k12.or.us

PSO funds cover a multitude of needs, including library books, field trips, classroom parties, teaching materials, community events, and much more. For more info, visit www.deercreekpso.org and come to our monthly meetings on the 2nd Tuesday (alternating 9am, 7pm).
