Greetings Families,


We have already made it through one quarter of the school year. We had our first PRIDE! Award assembly and celebrated individual students for demonstrating Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Dependability, Enthusiasm, and Character Counts!, which was focus for Quarter 1. We also celebrated classes who received our Lenox Legend Awards for being safe, respectful and responsible at recess, PE, music, library, lunch, and in the hallway. We have conferences coming up on Nov. 6th & 7th. All families should have received notification regarding their scheduled conference time. If you have questions regarding your conference time, please contact your child's teacher or call the main office. We look forward to seeing you at conferences!

ParentVUE Online Verification

Having accurate contact information for parents is critical for communicating school and district news, as well as attendance and emergency situations. All parents are asked to review and update information we have for your family in our student information system (Synergy). After logging in to ParentVUE, click the "Online Registration" tab in the top right-hand corner to start the verification process. If you have any questions, please contact our main office for help.

Communicating with Teachers

The best way to get in contact with your child's teacher is to email, call, or send a note to school. If you call during the school day, most likely they will be teaching and unavailable to take your call. Please leave a voicemail, so they can return your call after school. If you are wanting to meet with your child's teacher, please contact them as mentioned above to schedule that with them.

Lenox Spirit Wear

Lenox Booster Club is so excited to be offering Spirit Wear for our school! They received a new order just before school started and have t-shirts and hoodies in ALL sizes currently available. All orders are filled each Friday and delivered to the child's classroom. Show your school spirit and order today! Click here for ordering info.

Cell Phone and Personal Tech Devices Policy

Lenox's student cell phone/personal tech devices policy is easy to remember: Off/silenced and in backpacks while at school. Once students enter the building, all cell phones and/or personal tech devices (smart watches, etc.) need to be off/silenced and kept in backpacks. If you need to get ahold of your child, please call the main office 503-844-1360 and we will get a message to your child. If a student does not follow this policy, these are the actions that will be taken--

  • 1st offense: staff member reminds student about policy and student puts it away. If student does not comply, a Problem Solver will be given.

  • 2nd offense: phone/tech device is given to the principal and will remain in the office until a parent can come pick it up. Possible Problem Solver given.

  • Continued offenses: student will not be allowed to bring the device to school. We strongly encourage parents and students to make sure these items are not at school.

Inclement Weather Closures

Inclement weather is bound to occur each school year, and knowing in advance how the District manages and communicates about situations from icy roads to snow storms is very helpful. HSD has four main sources of communication: FlashAlert, Facebook and Twitter, District Mobile App, and New! SMS Text Msg. Please visit the HSD site to learn more about the four ways our district communicates this information and how decisions are made.

Volunteering

Don't forget that if you would like to volunteer in the classroom, for school events, field trips, etc. you need to fill out the district volunteer application. Please do this as soon as possible so you are cleared to volunteer.
