DBHS Regular Bell Schedule
9th Grade Parent Night 6:30 PM in the Theatre
The Class of 2025 Grade Level Coordinators invite the parents of our 9th graders to join us on Tuesday, November 30 at 6:30 pm in the DBHS Theater.
Topics to be covered:
- Creating a DBHS 4-year academic plan
- DBHS graduation requirements
- College/University entrance requirements
- How best to prepare for life after high school
- Post-High School Options
We ask that only parents attend as seating is limited. Students will learn this information very soon as we will be presenting this to them throughout this school year and their remaining years at DBHS. Parents, please attend and learn how best to guide your 9th grade student as they make plans for their future!
Speech Contest for all Brahmas!
Speech Trek Applications are now available.
What: 6th Annual Speech Trek Contest sponsored by the Diamond Bar/Walnut AAUW Branch
When: Wednesday, January 26, 2022
Where: Windmill Room, Diamond Bar Library, 21800 Copley Drive, Diamond Bar, CA 91765
Time: 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Set up: 5:30 PM
Topic: Has the United States lived up to its pledge of “liberty and justice for all”? Would requiring the study of diversity, equity, and inclusion in a high school setting help ensure liberty and justice for all?
Purpose: To develop student research skills, to develop critical communication skills, to encourage public discourse, and to give high school students a voice on the topic.
Eligible to apply: All high school students, male and female, public, private, exchange students or home schooled in California. This year we are expanding to neighboring areas that do not have a branch that is offering a speech contest. California high school students, who are able to come to our location for the contest, are encouraged to apply. They will be referred to the appropriate branch if there is one closer to them offering the contest.
Prizes: The winners from the Diamond Bar/Walnut AAUW branch will receive a cash prize.
First Place will be $300, Second Place $200 and Third Place $100. In addition, the prize for first place, at the California state level, has been $1500 in the past.

The contest on January 26, 2022 is open to the public to attend and listen. Limited reserved seating. Masks and social distancing required at this time. Judging by community leaders.

Boys Golf Team Tryouts!
Nov. 30, Dec. 2, 7, & 9 at Mountain Meadows golf course.
- Tryouts begin at 2:45 PM.
- Plan to arrive at least 15 - 20 minutes prior.
*You must be cleared in athletic clearance.com to try out for the program.
- Bring your own golf clubs on the day of tryouts, you will be playing a round of golf!

SWIM Tryouts!
Tryouts will be held December 6 at 3:10 PM at the pool.
Please sign up using the QR code on the posters around campus. Make sure you are athletically cleared before tryouts. If you have any scheduling conflicts, see Coach Gonzalez in Room 606.

Attention Senior Student-Athletes:
If you plan on participating in college-level athletics at the NCAA Division I or II levels and are in contact with college coaches, you must be certified as an eligible athlete by the NCAA ELIGIBILITY CENTER.
*Register online at www.eligibilitycenter.org.
Mr. Patterson, our NCAA GLC, will be notified by the Eligibility Center once you have registered. At that time, your transcript will be sent to the Eligibility Center by Mr. Patterson. Only students in the Class of 2022 should register at this time.

Weekly COVID Testing @ DBHS
Each MONDAY at DBHS, we will be providing voluntary COVID testing for all WVUSD students and staff. The drive-through clinics will occur in our Faculty Parking lot. Testing is also available at Suzanne Middle School (Tuesday), South Pointe Middle School (Wednesday), Walnut High School (Tuesday) and Walnut City Library (Thursday).
Please utilize the registration link if you would like to COVID test.
*No appointments are needed, but preregistration is requested.
