PSAT - October 12 - Important Information
The PSAT/NMSQT will be administered to 10th and 11th grade students on October 12, 2022 beginning at 8:00 am.
The PSAT 8/9 will be administered to 9th grade students on October 12, 2022 --- beginning at 8:00 am.
The PSAT is an important test. Students who perform well could earn college scholarships (11 grade).
PSAT student guides will be distributed to students (for 10th and 11th grade students only, there are no hard copies for 9th graders). These guides contain information and sample test questions that will help students prepare for the PSAT.
Parents/Students should check their calendars for appointments already scheduled for October 12, and consider rescheduling as there are no make-up dates for the PSAT.
Students who arrive late to school will not be permitted to take the test.

Student Meal Charges
Student meal charges are only allowed for reimbursable meals or milk purchases, never a la carte items. The charge limit for each student is $25. Students may purchase a meal with “cash in hand” regardless of the amount of money owed. Students currently approved for FREE meals receive a meal regardless of the amount of money owed. Families should be advised that beginning in early September, weekly automated phone calls and emails are being sent to notify households of students whose meal account balance has become low (less than $5.00 remaining). Fast Food Policy
Parents and students, please do not order food to be delivered to Leonardtown High School, it will not be delivered to the student. In addition, parents should not be dropping off lunch to the school for students.
Bus Passes:
Bus passes should only be requested when students have a change in physical address or when there is an emergency situation and a student needs to ride a different bus or get off at a different stop. Bus passes will not be granted for students simply wanting to go visit with a friend.
Need to obtain a bus pass?
Parents can write a note or send an email to Ms. Revis at btrevis@smcps.org in order to request a bus pass. All relevant information must be included in the written request.
Bus Information includes: Student name, address, parent phone number, existing bus stop to be used, bus #, date, medical concerns, destination address, destination phone # and reason for the pass

Yearbook Information
School Portraits Grades 9, 10, and 11
Students in grades 9, 10, and 11 will be photographed for school portraits on Thursday, September 29 and Friday, September 30 in the auditorium during English classes. Picture day fliers will be distributed to students in English classes next week. Portrait packages can also be ordered and paid for online by visiting the Legacy website and entering code 4572F23. ALL students will need to be photographed for administrative purposes.

Senior Portraits
Class of 2023, it is time for senior portraits!
Legacy Studios will be here on Monday, September 26; Tuesday, October 18; Wednesday, October 19; Thursday, October 20; Thursday, November 3; and Friday, November 4 in the auditorium. Seniors MUST sign up for an appointment by clicking HERE. Appointments must be made 48 hours in advance. Information about the different portrait sessions available can be found on the Legacy site. Please note that Legacy does provide the tux, drape, and cap and gown for portraits. Seniors, if you wish to be included in the senior section of the yearbook, you must take a picture in a tux or drape with a blue background and no props. Portraits that do not meet this requirement will not be included in the senior section of the yearbook.
Fall Team Pictures
Athletes and marching band members who were photographed the last few weeks will have the chance to purchase team and/or individual pictures. Please visit the Legacy website and use code 4572E23. Please note that pictures will not be posted until about a week following the picture date to allow for editing and uploading. We appreciate your patience!
2021-2022 Yearbooks
The 2022 yearbooks are here! Students may pick up their yearbooks during lunch in 2E08. If you are a 2022 graduate of LHS, you or someone you designate may pick up your book during regular hours (8:00-2:45) to retrieve your book. Please email Mrs. Page before you plan on picking up your book to ensure that it is in the office waiting for you.

Counseling Corner
Counselors are now able to process transcripts requests through Naviance. Please contact your counselor if you need additional information. Counselors will be giving senior class presentations the first week of October. During this presentation we will review what you need to know about graduation requirements, applying for college, scholarships and much more. After the presentations conclude we will share the presentation with everyone. We will host an additional presentation for seniors who are completing their English requirement at CSM.
If you need a letter of recommendation from your school counselor, please make sure to let them know as early as possible and make sure to submit the Letter of Recommendation Request form (which is available in Guidance).
