As you know, your child took the Winter iReady Diagnostic Assessment just before Winter Break. The report with their scores will be coming home in backpacks this week. Click on the link below to read a full letter from the D303 Assessment Dept. regarding this assessment.

Per the CUSD 303 Elementary School Handbook, we will be going outside for recess as long as the temperature (with wind chill) is above 0˚F and it is not raining. Don’t forget to label your child’s outerwear so it does not end up in the ever-growing Lost & Found.

Please be sure if your child wants to play in the snow during our outdoor recess time that they bring a coat, hat, gloves, snow pants, and boots. If students do not have all their snow clothes, they will be asked to stay on the blacktop during recess so they don't get wet. If at all possible, please have them practice putting on all their snow gear by themselves. This allows them to have ample time outside and not use a lot of time getting dressed.

If your family needs help getting winter coats, gloves, hats... for your kids please call the office or email Mr. Jarot. We have tons of new donated items and want to help.

Registration for the Preschool Program Lottery will be open from January 12 - January 26. Names will be randomly selected on January 27, and parents will be notified by email if their child is chosen. Those who are not selected will be placed on a waiting list and will be notified when a space becomes available. Check the Early Childhood page on Wednesday, January 12 for the registration link!

The vice president and treasurer board positions are up for election for next school year. Option to shadow our current PTO treasurer for the first year is available. Each position will serve a two year term. Serving the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school year. If you or someone you know who would be great for either of these positions click here for the nomination form with more details. To nominate someone either submit the linked form to the school office or complete this Google form by Monday, January 31st.
