Welcome to Tiger Talk! This newsletter is intended to keep our community informed of important information and upcoming events in our school. Highlights of this month's issue include a welcome to our acting principal, Linking with Leadership dates and topics, and strategic planning surveys.

Dr. Nicholas A. Diaz, Superintendent

We are pleased to share with you that Dr. Barbara Popp will assume the position of acting middle school principal as we prepare for Mrs. Foote's leave at the end of next month. Dr. Popp brings a wealth of experience in education and has already made several visits to the middle school as part of the initial phase of our transition plan. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Popp to our community!

The next Linking with Leadership meeting is on January 23rd at 1:30 p.m.. The focus of the meeting is “School Safety and Security". As a reminder, the purpose of Linking with Leadership is to provide a forum where school community members can interact directly with leadership on important District initiatives.

The district has embarked on a new strategic planning initiative and wishes to thank BOE members Mrs. Piontek, Dr. Robitaille, Mr. Kokoszka, and Mr. Malone for their vital input. We have initiated the process by circulating surveys to staff, students, and families, with a deadline of January 5th for responses. Parents/guardians who have not yet provided feedback are encouraged to complete the survey, which is available through the provided access link.

All meetings are held in the Union Township Elementary School Library, located at 149 Perryville Road, Hampton, NJ, and begin at 6:45 pm unless otherwise noted.

Meetings are open to the public and formal action may/will be taken at all meetings. The Board reserves the right to go into Closed Executive Session during any/all of the above meetings.
