Breakfast is available to all students at Anderson School every morning. It is served by OrganicLife, our food service company, starting at 8:25am in the hall between the office and the bus doors.

Cost for breakfast is $1.60 and free/reduced status applies. Reduced cost for breakfast is $ .40

Recently, the nurses in District 303 have been caring for a number of students experiencing fevers and other cold-like symptoms. We are also aware that some students are absent from school because they have been diagnosed with the flu and other influenza-like symptoms. During the months of October through April, each school in District 303 tracks influenza activity in cooperation with the Kane County Health Department. We consult with their staff to determine whether influenza activity in a school warrant additional follow up and, at this time, no additional interventions are needed. Preventative measures remain the most effective way to reduce the spread of influenza.

Families who wish to submit Middle School Transfer requests may do so beginning February 3. The request form will be available on the District 303 website through February 28. Families must complete a separate form for each student they want to be transferred. Requests are granted based on space available so siblings are not guaranteed placement. A written decision will be communicated to families before spring break.

Once the request is approved, a student may remain at that middle school throughout his or her middle school career, as long as the student resides in District 303.

Families of students granted permission to attend a school outside of their assigned attendance are responsible for their own transportation.

Students will return to their assigned attendance area high school regardless of the middle school attended.

The treasurer and vice president board positions are up for election for next school year. Each position will serve a two year term. Serving the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 school year. If you know someone who would be great for either of these positions click here for the nomination form with more details. Forms are due back to the school office by Monday, February 3rd. Breanna, a 3rd grader in Mrs. Reiff’s class, was born with a complex Congenital Heart Failure. She has had many heart surgeries, many hospitalizations, and long days at appointments. To help her through these times she would love to color. In honor of national CHD week, she would like to collect coloring books and crayons to give to the CHD heart warriors in the CICU at Lurie Children’s Hospital and all their outpatient cardiac centers for children. Please join us in supporting her effort by donating NEW coloring books and crayons. Donations can be sent to school February 10th-14th. The class that collects the most will win a cookie party. This year we are changing things up. Instead of the family dance, on February 21st, we will have Foxes Family Fun Night. Activities include: dancing, karaoke, BINGO, board games, snacks, photo booth, cake walk, sac races, ball toss, and face painting. We are still looking for a karaoke machine for the event If anyone has one we can borrow it would be greatly appreciated. This event cannot be a success without the help of some out of the world volunteers. Click here to sign up to help at the event or donate an item to our cake walk.

It's a ChariTEA Event at McAlister's Deli on Randall Road in Elgin. Tuesday, February 4th from 10:30 am- 9:00 pm. Drop your receipt in the bin on the counter and McAlister's will donate 20% back to our school. Click here for the informational flyer.

All advanced elementary, middle school and high school orchestra students in D303, and their friends, can participate! We will be playing a variety of alternative styles of music. There will also be a pizza party for musicians only, raffle, and fantastic guest performers. This is a highly anticipated event and one that your musician will not want to miss!

Pizza Dinner: 6:00 pm. (For all participants and volunteers)
Festival Performance: 7:00 pm
