It's Time for Registration
It's that time of the year! We are gearing up to have students register for their classes next school year. This week we visiting Pollard Middle School to speak with 8th graders on Thursday, February 15, and will hold a Registration Night for rising 10-12 graders on Thursday as well in the auditorium. At 5:30 p.m. families can go to the Kettle to learn more about our clubs and student organizations and then transition to the auditorium at 6:00 p.m. for the presentation. Below are videos that were shown to our students during advisory this week.

Seaforth Joins One Chatham Reads Initiative
I am excited to announce that Seaforth High School will join the district-wide One Chatham Reads initiative. At the start of the second semester, students will participate in reading for pleasure through advisory (once a month) and in Earth Science and World History classes. Click on this link to read more about our approach to supporting literacy at the high school level. By participating in a One Chatham Reads, we hope to encourage students to read for pleasure, build reading stamina and vocabulary, and make literacy a matter of importance. Your child is encouraged to bring a book or magazine from home to read or to check out a book from our library.
Math 2 & Math 3 Opportunities
Math 2 & 3 Credit Recovery February Session
The Math 2 & 3 Credit Recovery session for February has begun. Students are staying after school Monday-Thursday for an hour to receive instruction and strengthen their knowledge of the content. Students who attend all sessions can improve their grade. There is a second session that will take place in March.
Math 2 and 3 Grade Improvement
The assignments for students who were looking to improve their grade in Math 2 and 3 from the fall semester has been posted to a Google Classroom. Students who signed up were emailed the code and invited to join the class. The deadline to turn in the assignments is February 29. There will be no extensions or lack work accepted. If you have any questions, please let me know.
