January marks the observance of School Board Recognition Month. This is an opportunity to show our year-round appreciation for these servant leaders and begin to better understand how local trustees work together to prepare today’s students to be tomorrow’s leaders. We're starting to see MANY students bundled up each day, which is great! Please be sure to send your child to school dressed for the weather each day. Students will start needing warm coats, gloves, hats, scarves, and/or boots daily throughout the winter.

Please take time to label each and every item because our lost and found gets bombarded with lost winter accessories throughout the season.

Please note that, per Board Policy, we will be having outdoor morning lineup and heading outdoors for our 20 minute recess(es) if the windchill is 10+ degrees.

Time outdoors is time well spent for kids, in all seasons.

Our first full elementary band concert is scheduled for Thursday, January 25th at 7:00 P.M in the Fraser High School gym. Students must be in the gym with their equipment set up by 6:30 P.M. for a group warm-up before the concert. Percussion students are expected to bring their own percussion kit with them. For attire, please have your students wear their Fraser elementary band t-shirts with black or khaki bottoms and black shoes

Prior to the concert, please make sure your student has everything they need: instrument, book, stand, new reeds, etc. so that rehearsals can go smoothly. If you need help getting any of the necessary equipment, please don't hesitate to reach out--I am more than happy to help.
