Understanding the risky behavior of Monomoy teens
Every two years, Monomoy Regional School District participates in the Youth Risk Behavior Survey, which offers insight into the risky behaviors our students are engaging in, from sexual activity to drugs and alcohol to mental health. Join Dr. Carpenter and MRHS Peer Leaders on October 7 at 6:30 p.m. for an interactive presentation of the most recent Youth Risk Behavior Survey results. Parents and caregivers will gain an understanding of the challenges facing our young people and how we can all help support them.
Parent University: Youth Vaping - What you need to know
Monomoy is taking a proactive approach to youth vaping - in addition to the new Project Connect at MRHS, which will educate and support students, we are partnering with the Barnstable County Department of Human Services on its Escape the Vape campaign to educate our families about the dangers of vaping. Experts from the county will be available at MRHS and MRMS Curriculum Nights to hand out information and answer questions. In addition, we will hold a Parent University on vaping on Oct. 23 at 6 p.m. at MRHS.
