It's week 29 and we're doing fine here at Fletcher. This week flew by! Fifth graders continued their annual FitnessGram testing in PE. Our PTA meeting on Thursday evening covered the final arrangements for our SPRING CARNIVAL (4/22) and discussing upcoming PTA leadership opportunities for next year. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to make this event extra special for our community. Please see the flyer below to sign up and get a free wristband for your student!

Each bird on the wall represents a street name in the Birdland community. Those on the north side of the wall are the streets north of Fletcher. Those on the south side are the streets south of the school. This work will be done by Mindful Murals. You can see samples of their work at: https://mindfulmurals.com/

Next week, on April 20th, Principal Friedenberg and world class cricket player, Marty Kain, from the New Zealand national team will be proposing the installation of a synthetic turf cricket pitch at the joint use field. This will provide the entire San Diego cricketing community a place for their children to play and compete in this international sport on weekends. The rental of Fletcher Facilities for restrooms, parking lots, etc. will also generate a recurring revenue stream for the school to increase funding available to students! Our Student of the Week is Santana in Mrs. Malik and Mr. Catacutan's UTK Class. Santana is reading above grade level and consistently follows directions. He is happy and always willing to learn new things. Way to go, Santana! Thank you for being a phenomenal Falcon!
