Fall Exam Schedule Set & Exam Exemptions
The Fall Exam Schedule is set. Please click here for details. Teacher-made exams will be given on the January 17. That is a normal school day for students. While a student may be exempt from a teacher-made exam that does not exempt the student from coming to school.
State-mandated exams, like the End-of-Course exams in Math 1, Math 3, Biology, and English 2 do not have exemptions. All students taking those courses must take the exam for that course. Students who are not proficient on the End-of-Course exam will be required to retest.
Exam exemption details can be found here. Please be reminded that exam exemptions are not required by the teacher. It is an option that the teacher can afford students.
Welcome Our Newest Math Teacher: Mrs. Grablin
We are excited to welcome our newest member to the Hawks nest, Mrs. Jennifer Grablin, who will be teaching math for us. Mrs. Grablin comes to us with experience in the public and private educational sector. Upon talking with her, you will learn that she is passionate about the well-being of her students in and out of the classroom. Mrs. Grablin will be taking over the Math 2 sections this semester and helping those students complete the NCVPS requirements by providing direct instruction and support as the semester comes to an end. We are glad to have Mrs. Grablin on our team. Mrs. Grablin's first day at Seaforth is Wednesday, December 6.
Ways to Support Those in Need
There are many ways you can support our staff, students, and community this holiday season. Please check out the messages below from PTSA, Student Service, and our Student SGA. Thank you in advance for your giving.
Seaforth SGA Toy Drive
The Seaforth Student Government Charity Committee is hosting a toy drive for Duke Children's Hospital! We invite our community to donate toys; a specific list of these toys can be found here. Parents can either drop them off at Seaforth or order directly from the Amazon wishlist to be delivered to Seaforth. Thank you for your support. These donations will help to provide happy holidays for children and families at Duke Children's Hospital!
PTSA Staff Holiday Gift Card
The PTSA needs your help to give our Seaforth staff a holiday gift! Let’s show them how much we value all they do for our kids!
It has been our tradition to give all the Seaforth teachers and staff a gift from the PTSA. To do that we need your help. This is the first year we have all four grades together and we are now at 110 hard working teachers and staff! To reach our goal of giving everyone a gift, we need your donations. Please have donations in by December 11th. Click on this link and let’s spread some joy!!
Thank you so much for all your generosity! We could not do what we do without your support.
