SPOTLIGHT #1

The HETAC website has added new CDE Housing Questionnaire resources to our website.

Under California Education Code § 48851, local educational agencies (LEAs) must administer a housing questionnaire to all students annually to ensure the identification of children and youth experiencing homelessness.

The CDE resources can be found at the top of the Identification resource page located at https://www.hetac.org/resources/id

The resources includes:

• The model housing questionnaire,
• Guidance for completing the questionnaire,
• A Frequently Asked Questions document, and
• Slides from the recent Housing Questionnaire webinar offered on Aug. 31.

If you missed the webinar, keep an eye out for the recording of that training to also be available on the website for viewing soon.

The CDE annual data collection is taking place now. You should have received an email from your COE requesting info. If you have not, reach out to your COE Liaison!
