The Parenting CURVE Collaborative
Connect. Understand. Respond. Voice. Empower.
Are you concerned about your youth and/or young adult? Struggling to communicate? Looking for better ways to support them through adolescence in this rapidly changing and complex world? Join us for The Parenting CURVE Collaborative, a free virtual event featuring presentations from experts on mental health topics related to parenting youth and young adults.
6 segments from mental health experts to include:
- Communication & Boundaries: Strategies to Improve, Balance, & Build Trust
- Reducing Cultural Stigma in Addressing The Mental Health of our Youth
- 18 & Beyond: Navigating Mental Health Needs As A Parent Of A Young Adult
- Working on Acceptance: Ways to Support LGBTQ Youth and Role of Families in Reducing Risk
- The Smart Era Struggle: Resetting & Managing Youths’ Relationship With Technology
- Substances in Adolescence: Experimentation, Addiction & Recovery
Followed by a panel discussion featuring a youth patient and parent, a pediatrician, psychiatrist, therapist, and school wellness professional.
The Parenting CURVE Collaborative is presented in partnership with the ASPIRE Consortium (El Camino Health and Hoag Hospital) and was made possible by a generous gift from the Thomas and Donna Whitney Education Foundation.
