Union School District is proud to offer numerous and varied Parent Education opportunities throughout the year. We have covered topics of interest within the areas of parenting, childhood education, social emotional development, and more. Cuentos Familiares presenta Preparación Universitaria
¿Te gustaría que tus hijos vayan a la universidad algún día?
Ven y únete a nuestra nueva sesión de Cuentos Familiares para estudiantes de 4o a 8o grado.
Estaremos leyendo la novela El Sueño de Graciela donde aprenderás inglés y recibirás información sobre el proceso universitario.
Las clases se llevarán a cabo cada Martes de 5pm a 7pm por seis semanas a partir del 9 de Enero hasta el 13 de Febrero en la escuela secundaria Dartmouth.
Ofrecemos cuidado de niños y meriendas gratuitamente. Los niños de 4o a 8o grado podrán participar en las clases con sus padres si desean y las clases se llevarán a cabo en español.

Would you like your kids to go to college one day?
Come join our new Latino Literacy session for students in grades 4th-8th.
We will be reading the novel El Sueño de Graciela (Graciela's Dream) where you will learn English and receive information about college. Classes will be held every Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm for six weeks from January 9th to February 13th at Dartmouth Middle School. We will have food and free childcare. Students from 4th to 8th grade may participate in classes with their parents if they wish, classes will be held in Spanish.

Are you concerned about your youth and/or young adult? Struggling to communicate? Looking for better ways to support them through adolescence in this rapidly changing and complex world? Join us for The Parenting CURVE Collaborative, a free virtual event featuring presentations from experts on mental health topics related to parenting youth and young adults.
6 segments from mental health experts to include:
- Communication & Boundaries: Strategies to Improve, Balance, & Build Trust
- Reducing Cultural Stigma in Addressing The Mental Health of our Youth
- 18 & Beyond: Navigating Mental Health Needs As A Parent Of A Young Adult
- Working on Acceptance: Ways to Support LGBTQ Youth and Role of Families in Reducing Risk
- The Smart Era Struggle: Resetting & Managing Youths’ Relationship With Technology
- Substances in Adolescence: Experimentation, Addiction & Recovery
Followed by a panel discussion featuring a youth patient and parent, a pediatrician, psychiatrist, therapist, and school wellness professional.
