Honoring Our 5th Graders at New Providence Elementary - Shhhhh it’s a secret!
To all Parents and Guardians of NPE 5th graders, we hope this message finds you well. As we approach the second half of the school year, our students are getting closer to completing their elementary school journey and embarking on their next academic chapter. To mark this momentous occasion, we would like to invite you to participate in paying tribute to your children in our yearbook.
We've set aside several pages in the yearbook for "Timeless Tributes", a collection of cherished memories and wishes for our students. For $5.00, your child's space can be adorned with a heartfelt message and their baby picture.
Let's come together to celebrate our students' achievements and cherish the wonderful memories they've created during their time at NPE. Kindly send your message and baby picture, via email, to clanderson@lexington1.net or send message and baby pictures in an envelope, to school, with ATTN: Collen Anderson. Please note that payments can only be made via check or cash to NPE! All messages, pictures and payment need to be received no later than ***Friday, March 1st.***
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Collen Anderson by email at clanderson@lexington1.net
Thank you!
Congratulations to Mrs. Enders and Mrs. Sundberg, who both recently achieved National Board Certification! In order to become certified through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, teachers complete a performance-based, peer-reviewed process, demonstrating their proven impact on student learning and achievement. We are so appreciative of Mrs. Enders and Mrs. Sundberg for their dedication to their students and to the teaching profession.
Congrats, Ms. Shull! Old Cherokee Road Neighbors Magazine - Teacher of the Month

Weekly Character Challenge
Each week, New Providence highlights student leaders who are demonstrating good character skills such as using the quiet signal, showing Roary's expectations, and/or exemplifying kindness. As a student shows one of these skills, they are presented with a ticket. That ticket is put into a box and names are drawn at the end of each week.
Congratulations to our drawing winners from the week of 12/11:
Julie R. (Scoma)
Ben Q. (Elvington)
Davis R. (Drawdy)
Mary Katherine A. (Booth)
Corbin M. (Frye)
Sophia C. (Hanahan/Rodriguez)
