Hello Walden Families!
We had a wonderful week at Walden School! It's hard to believe that we are so close to winter break and the end of the first semester! I want to wish all of our Walden families a happy and healthy new year! Enjoy the time together as a family and we'll see you back at Walden in 2024!

Winter Break Bingo!
Winter Break is a great opportunity to fill some time with fun, educational activities at home! Walden students will be coming home today with an optional Winter Break Bingo Board. If you would like to complete this board over break, it is due back by Wednesday, January 10th. Students who complete this board by finishing any 5 activities (or more) will be entered into a grade level raffle for prizes after winter break. Students who choose to participate should return this board to their classroom teacher by Wednesday, January 10th.
A Note from the Library about Digital Citizenship
Digital citizenship is taught in the Library Media Center throughout the year, and we know many parents are working to encourage healthy technology behaviors at home. To that end, here is another video from Common Sense Media, which can be found on their YouTube channel.
Deciding when to buy your child a phone can be daunting. This 6-minute video discusses some factors to consider when making this decision, as well as some helpful tips for setting rules around kids’ devices.
LOST & FOUND (3rd Posting)
We have accrued quite a large amount of lost and found items at Walden since the beginning of the year. These items will be donated over Winter Break so please make sure if you would like to search for any specific items, come to Walden before Winter Break begins. Also, as a reminder, labelling your child's' items is a helpful way to prevent their belongings from sinking into the abyss of the lost and found. Thank you!
