School Safety Month
October is Ohio School Safety Month. HB 583 designated October as School Safety Month in Ohio to increase public awareness of school safety programs and to encourage Ohioans to identify their role in keeping Ohio schools a safe place for students to learn and grow.
WHS was able to partner with local agencies to have a full scale drill at the beginning of August. Our campus supervisor, Dave Gehringer, will be providing education and additional information to 9th and 11th grade students during their classes through the semester. If you are interested in more information, below are some parent and guardian resources.
College Fair
On October 20th, we will host our annual college fair. We will have over 60 colleges represented in the the high school gym. Juniors and Seniors will get to attend during the school day. Teachers will be helping students research and plan for this day. See the attached list of colleges that will be here!
PSAT Registration
Wilmington High School will be administering the PSAT assessment on October 12th. The test will take place during the school day at the school. The PSAT is available to both Juniors and Sophomore however, we are limited to 30 assessments, so Junior will receive preference.
Attached is an information sheet and the registration form. Registration forms are also available through your child's English teacher or the main office.
Chromebook Fees
Tech Fees for the 2022 - 2023 school year are $50 and due at the start of the school year.
In-person payments by cash or check can be made in the front office.
All other payments should be paid online at www.payschoolscentral.com From there either Register or Log-in if you have used the site previously. Fees are at the bottom. You will need to scroll down to see the Tech Fee.
Choir Pie Sale
It is time for the annual Wilmington Choirs Pie Sale! See a Wilmington Choir student with a pie order form to get a pie for your fall season while helping support our choir! Pies cost $12.00 each. Orders and payments are due by October 25th. Pies will be delivered November 9th. Payments can be made out to Wilmington VMB. See the attached for more information. Check Ryan Hutcherson’s email from 10/5 for details and an order form and email Ryan.hutcherson@wilmington.k12.oh.us with any questions! Pies are $12 each - checks can be written to Wilmington VMB

WHS Food Pantry
Wilmington High School has a Food Pantry done in partnership with the Free Store Food Bank. Any family with a student attending in the Wilmington City School District is eligible for this program. An interested family simply needs to complete the attached form and send it with their student and someone from the WHS Food Pantry will contact them for additional information!
We hope to curb food insecurity in our great community and continue to grow our students into community leaders!
