August Newsletter
2023-24 School Year
Hello Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year!! Our monthly newsletter is intended to serve as a communication link, providing you with information on upcoming events and news about what is happening at Red River High School. During the school year, parents will be emailed a copy of the newsletter on or before the first of the month. In addition to the email, the newsletter will also be posted on the Red River High School website home page. Please save this newsletter for future reference as it contains information that you may find helpful throughout the school year.
As we prepare for the start of the school year, our ninth graders and their parents/guardians have begun conferences with their counselor. If you have not received a scheduled appointment time, please call Jill LaMoine at 746-2205 ext. 6810, and she will schedule your conference.
All returning students MUST complete the 2023-24 Online Registration through your PowerSchool parent portal by Wednesday, August 16th in order to receive your schedule. Finalized schedules will be sent to parent and student emails on Friday, August 18th. If you need assistance signing in or completing the registration, please contact the main office at 701-746-2400.

PowerSchool Update
There have been multiple changes at the state level that have affected PowerSchool accounts. In order to access your account you MUST complete these prompts:
1) All Students & Parents must update their PowerSchool App:
*You will know you are successful, when you log in and see "Grand Forks Public Schools" if it still says "Manvel Schools", complete the steps again.
2) All students must reset their passwords:
Sign in with your current username, if you do not know this call the main office. The temporary password will be RRHS2023 (this is case sensitive). You will then create a NEW password that must be 8 or more characters. We recommend your Google Password.
*Please note that we are not able to view your new password so if it is forgotten in the future, you will have to request another reset and repeat this process.
If you have any questions, please contact the main office.
