Donations Needed
PACS Leadership is putting on a winter clothing drive for C.O.T.S! C.O.T.S helps the homeless find and keep housing here in Petaluma, while helping to improve self-sufficiency and well-being within our community. Our school community wants to pitch in, and we need your help! To achieve our goal, we are in need of new or gently used winter coats in any size or color, warm gloves, and/or rain ponchos. Please send all donation items with your student to school so they can add them to our donation boxes. Families can bring donation items to the front office or to your student’s classroom. All donations are due by December 1st. Please reach out to Ms. Roach (aroach@petk12.org) with any questions. Thank you for your help with keeping our community warm this winter!

Holiday Giving Program
Every year, our community at McKinley comes together to lend a helping hand to our families that could use some extra help or support during the holiday season.
All McKinley/PACS families are invited to stop by the Holiday Giving Board, and pick a tag(s) for an item that one of our sponsored families wishes to receive during the holidays. The holiday board will be out beginning Wednesday, December 6. Our board will be out before and after school, be on the lookout for an email sign-up to help with our holiday board. There will be many tags available, and all gifts are due back by Friday, December 15.
All gifts must be wrapped with original holiday tag attached, and dropped delivered to the office.
Questions? Contact the coordinators.

See's Candy Fundraiser
Chocolate. If you love chocolate and you love the holidays, well, 6th grade has a treat for you! The 6th-grade class is selling See's Candy as a means of raising money for camp at Mendocino Outdoor Science School in April. By following the link that is attached to this post, you will have the opportunity to order chocolate for loved ones AND help send 6th graders to camp. How great is that?!
Are you looking for a stocking stuffer? Chocolate is perfect for that
Are you looking to gift some chocolate for a special occasion? A pound of chocolate will do the trick.
Are you hoping that 6th graders will have a great time at camp up in Mendocino? Yes? Great!
The last day to order will be on December 2, so please follow the attached links to get your order in. And remember: Chocolate is like a hug in a wrapper :)

WE WOULD LIKE TO NOMINATE MADISON STREET!!!
HEY PETALUMA RESIDENTS! LET'S MAKE OUR STREETS SAFER TOGETHER!
We're on a mission to make Petaluma's streets safer and more welcoming for everyone, and we need your help! We're thrilled to roll out our Safe Streets Nomination Program, a unique chance for all Petalumans to play a part in reshaping our streets.
Wondering how? With your keen insights and our assembled data, we can pinpoint, rank, and upgrade areas that need upgrades to slow traffic down and make our streets safer. We know that fast cars and safe streets don't mix. In fact, high speeds are the cause behind most traffic collisions in Petaluma.
Help us achieve one of our City's top 10 goals - to make our streets safe. Not only do we want our streets to be safer, but we are committed to the Sonoma County Vision Zero Action Plan that aims for ZERO severe injuries or fatalities from traffic incidents by 2030.
So, Petalumans, ready to co-pilot this transformation with us? Let's make our streets safer, friendlier, and overall the best place to walk, bike, or drive!
HOW TO NOMINATE YOUR STREET
Fill out THIS FORM to nominate your street. Nominations will be accepted on a rolling basis, and our team will work to score, prioritize, design, and implement projects throughout the year. After projects are reviewed by our team, we will notify the nominator of their project score and where their project ranks in the overall project list. The project list will be shared with the community on this webpage.
While we strongly encourage using the form linked above to submit nominations, those unable to do so may also submit nominations to safestreets@cityofpetaluma.org or by calling Public Works & Utilities at 707-778-4303.
NOMINATION REVIEW
Staff will review each nomination as well as collision and speed data to score each submission.

Last Friday Ms. Skoien’s 5th graders enjoyed a special recess plus activity for their high fundraising participation in our Jog-a-Thon Fundraiser. PTA had so much fun spending some time with this crew and making FLUFFY SLIME! Then it was over to Ms. Bergamini’s classroom for our Top Fundraising Pizza Dance Party! These kids have MOVES! What a great way to spend the morning :) Thank you for sharing your amazing students with us, Ms. Skoien and Ms. Bergamini, and thank you families for your contributions to Jog-a-Thon!
