Tuesday December 19 ... Back Up Holiday Concert (If Original is Canceled Due to Weather)

Points of Pride
- GIS offered its first assembly since 2018 to students where they were rewarded for meeting our October behavior goal.
- Students enjoyed a Thanksgiving style meal where staff served students at their table.
- Over 100 students participated in our Math Monster Challenge
GIS Holiday Concerts
Our GIS Holiday Concerts are all held at the Alan L. Gornick Auditorium at Gaylord High School.
- 6th Grade Band Concert- Thursday, December 14 at 7PM
- 4th and 5th Grade Concerts- Monday, December 18 at 9AM
- 9AM 4th Grade- Borowiak, Enders, Palmer, Hintz
- 9:30AM 4th Grade- Bennett, Chojnacki, VanOosten, Warren
- 10AM 5th Grade- Parker, Wright, Reynolds, Leslie
- 10:30AM 5th Grade- Neuvirth, Atteberry, Stevenson, Tiernan
Turkey Trot Logic Puzzle Challenge
Students were presented our new school wide thinking challenge. The Turkey Trot Challenge will go for the next 3 weeks. Students who provide the correct answers to the grade specific logic puzzle will be eligible for the Alpine Chocolat Haus gift card drawing. (1 winner per grade level)
Research suggests that puzzles of these type build logical thinking and reasoning abilities. They require a student to analyze information, identify patterns, make deductions, and find solutions through evidence. Developing strong logical thinking skills can benefit a student in various academic disciplines and problem solving.

Below is the link to Geskus where you can order school photos and a year book. When ordering you will need the personalized code that was provided in the picture packet that went home with your student. If the code has been forgotten or misplaced Geskus support services will be able to retrieve your student specific code.
