Mr. Mroz's 6th grade class is shown with their Solar System Projects. Students were required to make a model of our solar system, including the sun, eight planets, Earth's moon, and asteroid belt in their respective locations as well as a data table consisting of how far away each planet is from the sun, each planet's period of rotation, period of revolution, and more.

"Here is our 6th Grade Band enjoying a recent practice session in the band room. They are preparing for the annual Winter Concert, scheduled for December 12, at 7:00 PM in our Performing Arts Center".

Mrs. Wassong’s 8th graders are studying “The Master of Macabre” Edgar Allan Poe. Students examined freaky first lines from suspense books. They identified various types of suspense hooks and then analyzed how Poe utilized these techniques in “The Tell-Tale Heart.”

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, our Patriot Ambassadors crafted Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbons and distributed them out during our lunch periods for students to sign with names of survivors, fighters, and those who have lost the battle. They then created a larger ribbon of these smaller ribbons, which are being displayed in the front windows of our building.

Mrs. Waters's ELA classes were busy at work writing holiday cards for our troops overseas. This card writing project is part of the Holiday Cards 4 Our Military Challenge. With the students' help, 2023 will be the year the challenge reaches one million cards being sent to our troops!

The fundraiser will close at midnight on November 6th and we get 40%. It is going towards the 6th, 7th and 8th grade field trips.

Students and parents can view schedules, attendance, documents and grades by logging into the Realtime Parent Portal https://www.fridayparentportal.com/portal/security/login.cfm. Please remember to read and acknowledge all important documents before accessing your child’s schedule. Please encourage your child to access their schedule and grades frequently.

The federal government's universal free lunch program expired and our schools will return to offering free and reduced school lunch to only students who qualify based on family income. Families are encouraged to complete the Free and Reduced Lunch application if they believe they qualify.

As in previous years, anyone who would like to purchase lunch in the cafeteria should replenish their child's lunch account by logging into the Payforit.net website. Families are encouraged to complete the Free and Reduced Lunch application if they believe they qualify. Please be reminded that students will need to scan their ID badges when purchasing items from the cafeteria as no cash transactions will be accepted.
